Our new USPSA/IPSC Harmonic Target is the ultimate training target.

The overall size of the steel matches a standard USPSA/IPSC metric target with the "D" zone removed. The outer and inner plates are laser cut from SR500 ballistic steel and is mounted on our custom stand. The faceplate is 3/8” and the inner harmonic is 1/4” thick for the handgun version and 3/8" thick for the rifle version. Our harmonic targets include integrated tuning forks that are concealed behind the front plate. The inner, Harmonic Plate, is mounted using industrial grade die springs. Bullets that strike the outer "B" and "C" zones produce a dull, low frequency ring. Shots that pass through the "A" zone windows in the front plate, strike the Harmonic Plate and produce a loud, high frequency ring allowing the shooter to instantly identify their shot placement.

Other steel targets with hinged doors and windows are less suitable for competition and defensive handgun training. These designs condition the shooter to pause while the hinged door falls back into place. Our Harmonic Plate is mounted in a fixed position so it's always ready for rapid follow-up shots.

Why SR500 Instead of AR500?

SR500 (“Shooting Range” 500) is SSAB's Ramor SR500, a ballistic steel made specifically for shooting targets. Standard AR500 is an abrasion-resistant wear plate originally made for industrial equipment, and it typically tests around 477–534 Brinell. SR500 carries a guaranteed minimum hardness of 500 Brinell, so the strike face resists pitting and cratering longer and your target stays smoother and safer, round after round. If you’ve been shopping for AR500 targets, SR500 is the upgrade.
