2x4 Cap Hanger with 3/8" SR500 Steel Hook

Turn any 2x4 into a steel target stand in seconds. The Shooting Targets USA 2x4 Cap Hanger drops over the top of a standard 2x4 post and gives you a 3/8" SR500 steel hook to hang your target from. Slide it on, hang your steel, and start shooting.

Hardened steel where the hits land. The hook is the part of any hanger that takes stray rounds, so that’s where we put the SR500. The arm and hook are cut as one piece from 3/8" SR500 plate, with no bolts, chains, or straps to shoot off and replace.

Hangs your target in front of the post. The arm reaches out past the 2x4, so your target covers the wood from the firing line. The hook faces the shooter edge-on, leaving just 3/8" of hardened steel exposed.

Weight sits on the post, not the welds. The arm runs across the top of the 2x4 and is welded to the cap, so the load bears straight down on the lumber.
